About Online Courses for Personal Financial Planners: Full online financial planner courses are just like online everything else. There are a number of companies out there that provide this kind of training, some are more reputable than others and some are endorsed and some are not.
There is just a certain amount of material that needs to be covered to prepare for the exam and an easy way to do it is to not leave your home while you are taking the class and just take it online and that amount of information you can’t do it in one night. So, you’ve got to do it over time.
The problem with doing it online is that you don’t have any peer group and you don’t have any live teacher to hold you accountable as you go along. It is all homework and it’s difficult for many of us humans to discipline ourselves to adhere to that. So you don’t get as much out of an online class as you would if you could to go and sit in a classroom. That’s why people go to college.
You can take the courses online or by correspondence or going to a live classroom but when the day is done you don’t get to take the test online. You are going to have to sit and be proctored and it is time and so on and so forth. The online class is fine as long as you will discipline yourself to do it.
